The Tempgard device runs off 12/24V but also runs standalone off internal Lithium batteries. An 18V plug pack is provided. If power is lost, the system will automatically switch to battery mode. Depending on the state of the battery and the load on the system, the Tempgard can run off battery for up to 12 hours. While powered off 12/24V supply, the battery charge is managed.
